Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula (I)
【Differential Diagnosis】Wind-dampness-heat invading zang-fu organs, imbalance of yin-yang, disordered qi and blood, interlaced meridians, turbid qi and stasis descending.
【Treatment Principle】Clear heat and detoxify, resolve dampness and reduce swelling, cool blood and dissipate stasis.
【Formula Name】Hemorrhoid-Relieving Decoction.
【Composition】Dandelion 30g, Phellodendron bark 30g, Red peony root 30g, Tree peony bark 30g, Peach kernel 20g, Poria cocos 30g, Angelica root 15g.
【Usage】Decoct externally. One dose daily, used 2–3 times per day. First add 2500–3500 ml water, boil, filter out residue, pour the liquid into a common enamel basin. The patient should first fumigate then wash with hot liquid, each session lasting 15–30 minutes.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula (II)
【Differential Diagnosis】Internal generation of damp-heat, poor circulation of qi and blood, blocked meridians, stasis and turbid qi descending to the anus.
【Treatment Principle】Clear heat and detoxify, activate blood and remove stasis, moisten intestines and promote bowel movement, transform dampness and open pathways, soften hardness and dissipate nodules, astringe and consolidate, stop bleeding and relieve pain.
【Formula Name】Hemorrhoid-Reducing Decoction.
【Composition】Prunus mume 10g, Gallnut 10g, Sophora root 15g, Balloon flower root 10g, Prepared pangolin scale 10g, Calcined oyster shell 30g, Hemp seed 10g.
【Usage】Decoct and take orally. One dose daily, taken twice per day.

【Differential Diagnosis】Damp-heat descending from the middle burner.
【Treatment Principle】Clear heat and promote diuresis, moisten intestines and stop bleeding.
【Formula Name】Ganhanmi Decoction.
【Composition】Amaranth 30g, Raw licorice 10g, Eclipta prostrata 30g, Honey 10ml.
【Usage】Decoct and take orally. One dose daily, taken twice per day. Add 10ml honey when taking. The first two decoctions are consumed internally, the third is used externally for fumigation and washing of the anus.

【Formula Name】Sophora Flower Hemorrhoid-Reducing Decoction.
【Composition】Sophora flower 15g, Sophora fruit 15g, Rehmannia root 12g, Coptis 10g, Honeysuckle 12g, Phellodendron bark 10g, Talc 15g, Angelica 12g, Bupleurum 6g, Cimicifuga 6g, Citrus aurantium 6g, Scutellaria 10g, Licorice 3g.
【Usage】Decoct and take orally. One dose daily, taken twice per day.

【Differential Diagnosis】Damp-heat in the middle burner, descending with cold-damp.
【Treatment Principle】Clear intestines and promote diuresis, stop bleeding.
【Formula Name】Modified Sophora and Elm Mixture.
【Composition】Sophora flower 10g, Agrimonia root 10g, Herba houttuyniae 15g, Eclipta prostrata 15g, Cypress leaf 15g, Citrus aurantium 10g, Scutellaria 5g, Sesame seed 15g, Amaranth 30g.
【Usage】Decoct and take orally. One dose daily, taken twice per day. Additionally, the decoction can be used for fumigation and washing of the anus.
