Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula (I)
【Differential Diagnosis】Chronic damage to central Qi, impaired spleen function, internal retention of phlegm-dampness, and deficiency of spleen Yang.
【Treatment Principle】Warm the center, strengthen the spleen, eliminate痞 (distension), stop bleeding, resolve dampness, and transform phlegm.
【Formula Name】Modified Ji Shi Li Zhong Tang.
【Composition】Charred ginger 1.8 grams, ginseng 9 grams, white atractylodes 9 grams, processed pinellia 9 grams, honey-fried licorice 6 grams, immaturity fruit 4.5 grams, notoginseng 3 grams (powdered and swallowed), cinnamon twig 3 grams, oyster shell 30 grams, pig and poria 15 grams.
【Usage】Decoct in water, take one dose daily, twice per day.

【Differential Diagnosis】Deficiency of both qi and blood.
【Treatment Principle】Nourish vital energy, strengthen the spleen and stomach, generate blood, regulate nutritive and defensive Qi.
【Formula Name】Yang Xue Zhu Wei Wan.
【Composition】Angelica root 30 grams (wine-washed), ligusticum 30 grams, white peony root 36 grams (salt- and wine-stir-fried), prepared rehmannia 24 grams (ginger juice-soaked, stir-fried), ginseng 15 grams, white atractylodes 40 grams (soil-fried), poria 18 grams, licorice root 9 grams (honey-fried), yam 30 grams, lotus seed meat 30 grams (skin and heart removed), lablab bean 18 grams (ginger juice stir-fried).
【Usage】Grind all herbs into fine powder, mix with fresh ginger juice and fermented wheat paste to make pills the size of tung nuts. Take 60–70 pills each time, on an empty stomach, washed down with boiling water.

【Composition】Salvia miltiorrhiza 25 grams, poria 20 grams, curcuma 20 grams, cardamom 15 grams, Ophiopogon japonicus 20 grams, trichosanthes 25 grams, half-branch lotus 50 grams, dried toad 3 individuals, raw leech 15 grams, lotus leaf 15 grams.
【Usage】Decoct in water to obtain 100 ml liquid; take 50 ml mixed with milk, twice daily.
