Traditional Chinese Medicine Remedies for Facial Conditions
Warts: 1. Equal parts rhubarb and sulfur, ground into fine powder, mixed with cool boiled water and applied to the affected area, once daily. 2. 30g each of Equisetum and Cyperus rotundus, decocted to concentrate the liquid, applied externally 2–3 times daily. 3. 10g each of Prunus japonica seed and egg white, ground and applied to the affected area.
Male Pattern Baldness: 1. 30g each of Cuscuta seed, Sinapis alba seed, and sulfur; 50g iron rust and 50g ginger soaked in 500ml liquor for one week, then applied to the affected area three times daily, 3–5 minutes per session. 2. Equal parts rosin and lead dan, ground into powder, mixed with hot vegetable oil and applied to the affected area. 3. 60g each of sesame flower and cockscomb flower, added to 500ml liquor, sealed and soaked for five days, filtered liquid obtained, add 15g camphor dissolved, apply with cotton swab to the affected area.
Sweat Stains: 1. Equal parts miter stone and realgar, finely ground, applied using cucumber tip to the affected area. 2. Equal parts raw Aconite root, sulfur, light powder, and miter stone, finely ground, applied using sliced ginger to the affected area. 3. Equal parts baiji and white atractylodes, soaked in liquor for one week, extract liquid and apply to the affected area.
Acne: 1. Equal parts rhubarb and sulfur, ground into powder, mixed with licorice juice and applied to the affected area. 2. Equal parts white and black dodder seeds, soaked in wine, applied to the affected area.
Freckles: 1. Miter stone ground into extremely fine powder, applied to the face every night. 2. 10g each of silkworm pupae, raw Aconite root, angelica root, sandalwood, borax, plus 2g borneol, ground into extremely fine powder, mixed with water or milk before bedtime and applied to the face. 3. 20g borax, 2g borneol, dissolved in 100ml water, applied to the affected area with cotton swab. <TCM>
