One whole black chicken (preferably female, aged 2–3 years), 15 g polygonum multiflorum, 5 g vitex agnus-castus, 5 g echinops. Avoid alcohol during treatment. Do not add salt to pot. Grind sulfur into fine powder (use stone or ceramic utensils, avoid iron). Mix half liang of sugar and a small amount of baking soda.
