Secret Remedy for Hair Loss No.3
The main symptoms of hair loss include greasy hair resembling oil application, dry and brittle hair lacking luster, adherent pale yellow scales difficult to remove, or flaking gray-white scales that fly off, accompanied by itching. In men, hair loss primarily affects the front and top of the head; the hairline and temples recede upward, with sparse, yellowish, soft hair on the forehead and crown, eventually leading to baldness at the forehead and top or only fine downy hair remaining. In women, hair loss occurs mainly at the crown, resulting in thinning hair but not complete patchy shedding. Traditional Chinese medicine attributes this condition to two causes: first, blood heat and wind-dryness—excessive blood heat depletes yin blood, generating wind from blood deficiency, further damaging yin blood, preventing nourishment of hair roots at the scalp, causing dryness and hair loss; second, spleen-stomach damp-heat—weak spleen function impairs digestion, combined with overconsumption of rich, fatty foods, injuring stomach and spleen, causing damp-heat to rise to the scalp, eroding hair roots gradually, leading to sticky hair loss. The following are some remedies and secret formulas for hair loss. [Formula One] One pig gallbladder. Pour the gallbladder juice into half a basin of warm water, stir well, wash hair or affected area, thoroughly removing oily scales, then rinse with clear water. Use once daily. This formula is especially suitable for seborrheic hair loss. [Formula Two] Three live centipedes. Soak live centipedes in vegetable oil for 3–4 days. First wash hair with decoction made from fresh wood slices, then apply centipede oil to the scalp until healed. [Formula Three] Cinnabar stone. Grind into fine powder. Take 3 grams twice daily (morning and evening), swallow with water during daytime. Continue for 2–3 months. [Formula Four] 15 grams of wolfberry fruit, 50 grams of rice. Wash both ingredients, place in a clay pot, and cook into porridge for consumption. [Formula Five] 30 grams of Fo-ti root, 50 grams of rice, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar. Boil Fo-ti root in a clay pot to extract concentrated decoction, discard residue, then add rice and rock sugar, cook until porridge forms. Consume. This formula is especially suitable for chronic hair loss that persists long-term.
