【Composition of the Formula for Excessive Amniotic Fluid】(1) Main Formula: Poria skin 15g, Winter melon peel 15g, Large belly peel 15g, Yam 15g, White kidney bean 15g, Stone lotus seed 10g, Plantain seed 10g, Skyward grass 10g, Gourd vine 15g, Eucommia 10g, Mulberry white bark 10g, Heavenly vine 10g, Stephania root 6g.
【Composition of the Formula for Excessive Amniotic Fluid】(2) Consolidating Formula: Poria 12g, Stir-fried Atractylodes 3g, Stone lotus seed 10g, Plantain seed 10g, Yam 15g, Large belly peel 10g, Skyward grass 10g, Gourd vine 15g, Taxillus 10g, Eucommia 10g, Winter melon peel 15g, Winter purslane seed 6g, Heavenly vine 10g.
【Usage for Excessive Amniotic Fluid】Generally first take the main formula for 6–10 doses; if effective, then switch to the consolidating formula until subjective symptoms ease or ultrasound shows reduced amniotic fluid. Then intermittent dosing may be used (take two doses, then skip 1–2 days before next dose), continuing until amniotic fluid level returns to normal or symptoms are basically resolved.
