Pregnancy disorders refer to diseases occurring during pregnancy that are related to pregnancy. The occurrence of this condition is due to the fact that after conception, yin blood gathers in the Chong and Ren meridians to nourish the fetus, resulting in a physiological state of yin blood deficiency and yang qi excess in pregnant women; meanwhile, as the fetus grows larger, it often affects the ascending and descending movements of qi. Most pregnant women can adapt to these physiological changes, but those with pre-existing imbalances in zang-fu organs or qi-blood, or who are further affected by pathogenic factors during pregnancy, may injure the zang-fu organs, qi-blood, or Chong-Ren meridians, thus leading to pregnancy disorders.
Pregnancy Nausea and Vomiting
Pregnancy nausea and vomiting refers to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and loss of appetite after pregnancy, or even vomiting immediately after eating. The underlying cause of this condition is the upward reversal of qi from the Chong meridian and failure of stomach harmony and descent. The following are commonly used effective folk remedies.
[Formula One]
1 egg, 30 grams of rock sugar, 6 milliliters of rice vinegar. Boil the rice vinegar, add rock sugar and stir until dissolved, then crack in the egg and cook until half-done. Consume all at once, twice daily.
This formula is suitable for pregnancy nausea and vomiting caused by spleen-stomach weakness.
[Formula Two]
10 grams of fresh chives juice, 5 grams of ginger juice,适量 rock sugar. Crush fresh chives and ginger, squeeze out the juice, then add a small amount of rock sugar to the juice and mix well. Take three times daily before meals, sipping slowly.
This formula is suitable for pregnancy nausea and vomiting due to spleen-stomach weakness.
[Formula Three]
10 grams of white atractylodes, 30–60 grams of crucian carp, 30 grams of glutinous rice. Remove scales, gills, and internal organs from the crucian carp; wash the white atractylodes and decoct first to obtain 100 milliliters of liquid. Then boil the fish and rice into porridge, mix in the medicinal liquid according to patient’s taste, adding salt or sugar as needed. Eat the porridge, one dose per day, can be taken continuously for 3–5 days.

[Formula Four]
10 grams of fo shou (Buddha's hand), 2 slices of ginger,适量 white sugar. Decoct the first two ingredients to extract juice, then mix in white sugar and warm for consumption.
This formula is suitable for pregnancy nausea and vomiting due to liver-stomach disharmony.
[Formula Five]
1 cup of sugarcane juice, 1 spoonful of ginger juice. Warm and consume while hot.
