[Formula One] Rice (Jingmi) 100 grams, Deer Antler Gelatin 15 grams. Cook rice into porridge, add deer antler gelatin after the porridge is cooked, along with a small amount of ginger rice and refined salt. Consume for 3–5 days as one course of treatment; this formula treats infertility. [Formula Two] Evodia rutaecarpa 240 grams, Sichuan pepper 240 grams. Make into pills using refined honey, size of a goose egg. Wrap in cotton and insert into the vagina, replace once nightly. After one month, the uterus becomes warm and pregnancy may occur. Soak deer tail briefly in boiling water, wash off impurities, then blanch in boiling water for 10 minutes, remove hair by repeated scalding and washing. Heat wok, add oil until nearly smoking, sauté green onions and ginger until fragrant, pour in cooking wine, add water, place deer tail in pot and simmer for 10 minutes, then remove. Reheat wok, sauté ginger and green onions, add cooking wine, include tangerine peel, deer tail, and water, simmer for 10 minutes, remove ginger and green onions, then gently stew over low heat for another 10 minutes, then remove deer tail. Wash the hen, cut off claws, split in half, blanch in boiling water, then remove large bones. Cut lean pork and ham into three pieces each; blanch lean pork briefly, wash, then place with ham, mushrooms, and chicken in a bowl. Wash ginseng, steam until soft, slice thinly, place with tangerine peel in a basket, then cut deer tail into two halves and place on both sides of the chicken. Pour high soup into pot, add sugar, bring to boil, transfer to steamer, add to container, cover with wet cotton paper, steam for 1.5 hours, remove lid, add salt for seasoning. This dish uses ginseng, tangerine peel, deer tail, and hen as main ingredients. Ginseng is a precious Chinese medicinal herb known for its miraculous effects, historically called "divine grass" by ancient people. It is an excellent tonic, capable of replenishing vital energy and resisting aging.
