Folk Remedy for Cough

Cough is one of the most common respiratory symptoms.
For cough caused by wind-cold invasion, when antibiotics and anti-inflammatory or cough suppressant medications prove ineffective, a simple remedy—moisturizing feet with mugwort fumes—can yield satisfactory results.
Method: Use 30–50g of mugwort leaves, boil them in about 1500ml of boiling water for approximately 15 minutes, then remove the leaves and pour the liquid into a small foot basin. Place your feet on the rim of the basin while hot, and cover them with a cloth slightly larger than the basin to prevent rapid evaporation of medicinal vapor. When the water temperature drops to a tolerable level, immerse your feet directly in the liquid. Perform this procedure once nightly (best before bedtime), each session lasting 15–20 minutes. Usually, 3–5 consecutive sessions are sufficient to cure the cough. (Cough)
