Related to Fibroadenoma of the Breast and Infertility
Fibroadenoma and breast hyperplasia both belong to the category of "Rubi" (breast masses) in Traditional Chinese Medicine. According to the theory of zang-fu organs and meridians, the Chong and Ren vessels nourish the breasts and also warm the uterus. Therefore, deficiency of kidney yang and imbalance of Chong-Ren channels can manifest not only as breast hyperplasia, breast nodules, and premenstrual distension and pain, but also as menstrual irregularities and infertility after marriage. In fact, breast masses and infertility are like two fruits on the same vine. Clinically, treatment can adopt the principle of treating different diseases with the same method. We use the formula Shanjie Dan Wan to warm and tonify kidney yang, Xianjie Ling Capsules to regulate Chong-Ren channels, and external application of Breast Healing Ointment to activate blood circulation, resolve stasis, soften hardness, and disperse nodules. After treatment, symptoms of breast masses improved, breast lumps disappeared, pain was relieved, menstrual irregularities were corrected, and some women who had been infertile for years and suffered from breast masses even became pregnant. Clinical validation confirms the close relationship between breast masses and infertility—they are indeed twin conditions, sharing the same root: when deficient, they are both deficient; when excessive, they are both excessive. The rationale for treating different diseases with the same method lies in their shared origin.
