Massage Therapy for Impotence
Impotence is a common clinical condition, causing great distress and helplessness in patients. Massage therapy shows excellent results. The following methods are introduced:
1. Massage inguinal region: Use the pads of both thumbs, index fingers, and middle fingers to symmetrically massage from outside to inside toward the root of the penis on both sides of the inguinal area. Apply gentle pressure that feels comfortable without pain. Perform 50 times on each side.
2. Twisting spermatic cord: Use both thumbs, index fingers, and middle fingers to symmetrically twist the spermatic cord above the root of the penis and scrotum. Pressure should produce mild soreness or comfort. Perform 50 times on each side.
3. Rubbing testicles 1: Use the index and middle fingers of both hands to support the underside of the same-side testicle, then press down with the thumb while gently rubbing like counting beads. Pressure should not cause pain or only slight soreness. Perform 150–200 times on each side.
4. Pulling penis and testicles: Grasp the penis and scrotum together in one hand’s palm, gently pull downward 150–200 times. Pulling force should result in mild soreness in the penis and testicles or slight pulling sensation in the lower abdomen. Perform 150–200 times.
5. Massaging Yongquan point: Massage the right foot sole’s Yongquan point with left hand for 100 times; massage the left foot sole’s Yongquan point with right hand for 100 times. It is even better if performed after nightly warm foot bath. Local massage therapy for impotence is generally conducted upon waking in the morning or before bedtime while sitting or semi-reclining. Gentle techniques are used, convenient to operate. Local massage promotes blood circulation, improves local nutrition, regulates local sexual nerve function, thus improving erectile function. Through psychological adjustment, it achieves treatment goals for impotence. However, pay attention to the following points during use: Keep genital skin clean during massage. Do not perform if there is inflammation or skin disease in the genital area—treat first. Perform when relaxed. Once daily. Techniques should be gentle—not too forceful, or effectiveness will be poor (if pain occurs, it means excessive force, adjust accordingly). Treatment usually lasts 2–3 weeks. During this time, erections often occur. If erection is weak, combine with the above pulling technique, just pulling the scrotum alone. Initially, patients should perform themselves. After 3 weeks, spouses may take over optionally, gradually transitioning into intercourse. This method is highly effective for functional impotence but should be combined with other therapies for organic impotence.<Impotence>
