Several External Herbal Treatments for Impotence

1. 500 grams of green salt, quickly stir-fried over high heat, placed in a cloth bag, hot compress applied to lower abdomen. Replace bag when cold. Each session lasts 1 hour, twice daily.
2. 180 grams of Evodia, mixed with appropriate amount of white wine, wrapped in cloth into several small packs, steamed for 20 minutes, then used hot to compress below navel and soles of feet. Replace when cold. Each session 20–30 minutes, twice daily.
3. Equal parts ginger, fennel, and large onion, crushed, placed in cloth bag, heated and applied to lower abdomen. Replace when cold. Each session 30–40 minutes, twice daily.
4. 6 grams each of gallnut and prepared Astragalus, 3 grams sulfur, ground into fine powder, filled into a large processed Aconite root (hollowed out), then immersed in 250 ml of white wine, simmered over low heat until wine evaporates. Remove the Aconite, crush into granules, apply to navel, wrap and fix. Remove after 3 hours. Repeat every 10 hours.
5. 5 grams each of dry ginger and fennel, ground into fine powder, add a little salt. Mix with honey to form a paste, apply to navel, cover with gauze and secure with tape. Change every 5 days. One course consists of 3–5 applications.
6. 5 fresh green onions (with green tops), washed and mashed (can add 5 grams cinnamon powder), heated, wrapped in thin white cloth, hot compress applied to Guanyuan and Zhongji acupoints. Once daily. Not too hot—avoid skin burns.
7. Equal parts rhubarb and Phellodendron bark, boiled into liquid, apply the liquid to the penis twice daily.
8. Boil Cnidium fruit in water, soak penis and scrotum in hot solution. Twice to three times daily, each session 20 minutes. Reheat if liquid cools.<Impotence>
