Formula for Treating Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Also known as prostate enlargement, it is a common disease among middle-aged and elderly men. Traditional Chinese medicine attributes benign prostatic hyperplasia to agitation, heat, and dampness causing swelling, inflammation, pain, and obstruction, leading to poor urine drainage and bladder outlet obstruction, resulting in symptoms such as difficulty urinating, weak urine stream, urgency, frequent urination, and increased nocturnal urination. Herbs such as Four-Direction Vine, Spring Root Vine, Vaccaria seeds, and Water Leek have cooling, detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, and swelling-reducing effects; peach kernel has blood-activating, anti-inflammatory, and stasis-resolving properties; moneywort promotes diuresis; salt and flavor have anti-inflammatory effects; pig front foot has the function of relaxing tendons, activating meridians, warming, and tonifying the bladder and urethra. Therefore, decocting herbs with pig front foot can treat benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Specific method: Four-Direction Vine 30g, Spring Root Vine 30g, Moneywort 30g, Vaccaria seeds 10g, Peach kernel 10g, Water Leek 15g, 1 to 2 pig front feet, boil with water to make 600ml soup, add appropriate salt, consume three times daily. Most patients show effect within 3 to 6 days. Patients with severe conditions may increase intake accordingly.<Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia>
