【Formula Name】Pediatric Convulsion Formula One.
【Composition】Cicada slough 6g, Uncaria hook 8g, licorice 3g, pearl mother 10g, fried sour jujube seed 10g, gardenia 4g, coptis 3g, windproof herb 3g, hangzhou peony root 8g, indigo naturalis 3g.
【Usage】Boil for 20 minutes, decoct twice per dose. Mix both decoctions, take once in the morning, afternoon, and evening. First week: one dose daily, continuous for 7 doses. Weeks 2–4: every other day, continue for 3 weeks. Total treatment duration: 4 weeks, effective in preventing recurrent febrile convulsions. ?【Indications】Prevent recurrence of febrile convulsions.

Chinese Herbal Prescription (2)
【Formula Name】Pediatric Convulsion Formula Two.
【Composition】Angelica root 3–5g, peach kernel 3–5g, safflower 3–5g, raw rehmannia 3–5g, red peony root 3–5g, Uncaria hook 3–5g, antelope horn 3–5g, white horehound root 3–5g.
【Usage】Administer via nasogastric tube, dropper, or enema.
【Therapeutic Principle】Clear heat, activate blood circulation, calm liver, extinguish wind.
【Indications】Neonatal convulsions due to blood stasis obstructing meridians: sudden high-pitched crying within first 1–2 days after birth, paroxysmal convulsions, cyanosis of face and lips, alternating between drowsiness and coma. Convulsions manifest as minor or clonic type: eyes wide open, staring, eye tremors, bulging fontanelle, vomiting, refusal to feed, purple finger markings, dark red or purple tongue. Severe cases present with phlegm obstruction causing breathlessness, irregular breathing, or collapse from qi deficiency, cold extremities, black nails. 【Additions】For high fever add gypsum, large blue leaf, peony bark; for jaundice add patchouli, gardenia, yellow chrysanthemum; for phlegm obstruction with breathlessness add bamboo juice, reed root, tangerine red; for coma add calamus, bitter melon seed, musk applied to navel.
