Decoction for Reducing Heat in Infant Abdomen, Dan Shen Chi Ointment Formula. Dan Shen, leech fruit, mirabilite, rock salt, rhubarb (each two taels). Crush the five ingredients, soak four ingredients (excluding mirabilite) in half sheng of rice wine overnight, then fry with one jin of refined pork fat, stir three times up and down, remove residue, then add mirabilite. When the ointment is ready, rub on the epigastrium. Can be used in winter and summer. One version uses only Dan Shen and leech fruit, also effective. Treats infants and young children with delicate skin, prone to wind pathogen invasion, presenting with high fever, or severe wind affecting limbs and causing tremors. <Night crying>
