One hundred grams of fresh mulberry fruit, fifty grams of fresh lily. Wash both ingredients, decoct and drink once daily. Mulberries are sweet and sour, slightly cold in nature, sweet and cold, nourishing yin, replenishing blood, clearing heat easily, commonly used as a tonic for liver and kidney. Regular consumption significantly improves symptoms of “heart-kidney weakness leading to insomnia.” Lily nourishes and mildly clears, moistening. Deficiency of liver and kidney yin leads to internal heat, disturbing the heart spirit, causing insomnia and irritability. Mulberries nourish yin and clear heat, lily calms the heart and soothes the spirit. Once yin is restored and heat subsides, the spirit becomes tranquil and sleep comes naturally. This formula also has the function of moistening the intestines and promoting bowel movements, useful for habitual constipation. Avoid use in cases of spleen-stomach deficiency-cold with diarrhea.Supplemental Formula
