Black Sesame Yam He Shou Wu Powder
[Ingredients] 250 grams black sesame seeds, 250 grams yam, 250 grams prepared He Shou Wu.
[Method] Wash black sesame seeds, sun-dry, roast until fragrant, then grind into fine powder. Wash Huai yam, slice, dry, then grind into fine powder. Dry prepared He Shou Wu slices, grind into fine powder, mix evenly with sesame and yam powders, store in a bottle for future use.
[Usage] Twice daily, 25 grams each time. Mix with warm water in a pot, stir into a thin paste, then cook over fire until fully cooked.
[Function] Strengthens spleen and kidney, nourishes blood and essence. Suitable for anemia due to spleen-kidney deficiency, presenting symptoms such as pale or yellowish complexion, dizziness, fatigue, cold limbs, lower back and knee soreness, pale tongue with white coating, and deep fine pulse.
[Commentary] Black sesame excels at nourishing liver and kidney, enriching essence and blood. Yam tonifies qi and strengthens the spleen. Prepared He Shou Wu is an excellent herb for nourishing liver and kidney and enriching essence and blood. The combination of these three herbs ground into powder and consumed as a paste resembles the texture of lotus root powder. This dietary therapy is particularly effective for anemia due to spleen-kidney deficiency, widely applicable to nutritional anemia, and also shows certain efficacy in chronic aplastic anemia.
