Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang for Qi Deficiency Fever

Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang originates from Li Dongyuan’s "Treatise on the Spleen and Stomach." It regulates and tonifies the spleen and stomach, lifts Yang, and replenishes Qi. Clinically used for various conditions due to sinking middle Qi. In recent years, I used this formula to treat 50 cases of Qi deficiency fever with satisfactory results.
Drug composition: Astragalus 15 grams, Codonopsis 10 grams, White Atractylodes 9 grams, Citrus Peel 6 grams, Cimicifuga 6 grams, Angelica 10 grams, Bupleurum 6 grams, Fried Licorice 9 grams. Add Cinnamomum twig if limb pain; add Oyster Shell if excessive sweating; add Zizyphus seed if insomnia and frequent dreams. Decoct and take orally twice daily. Among 50 cases, the maximum number of doses was 25, minimum was 6. Results: 45 cured, 3 markedly improved, 2 ineffective.
