One clean hen (about 1250 grams), 15 grams each of longan flesh, lychee flesh, black jujube, lotus seed meat, and goji berries, 30 grams rock sugar, and appropriate seasonings. Place the hen with belly up in a large bowl, arrange longan, lychee, black jujube, lotus seed meat, and goji berries around the edges, add rock sugar, refined salt, cooking wine, scallions, ginger, and sufficient water, steam for 2 hours, then season and sprinkle with pepper powder.
This formula nourishes blood and yin, strengthens essence and brightens eyesight, suitable for post-illness or postpartum deficiency of blood and Qi, pale complexion, and emaciation.
