Qi-tonifying Formula Five

6 grams each of lotus seed, yam, Poria, chestnut, coix seed, white hyacinth bean, Codonopsis, White Atractylodes, 100 grams of rice, and appropriate sugar. Boil the first eight herbs with water for 40 minutes, remove the residue of Codonopsis and White Atractylodes, add cleaned rice, continue cooking until soft and porridge-like. Serve in portions, add sugar, eat daily for several consecutive days. This formula strengthens the spleen, tonifies qi, warms yang, and eliminates dampness.
