Fruit Skincare Platter
Use of various fruits in cosmetics can relieve the burden on our bodies! Because after using these products, no harmful substances remain in our bodies. From fruit peels, essential oils can be extracted; from fruit seeds, polyphenols (an antioxidant that prevents aging) can be refined; and their pulp contains trace elements, vitamins, mucilage, etc. In recent years, it has been discovered that fruit juices also offer many benefits for the skin.
Apricot: Soothing effect. Oil extracted from apricot kernels can soothe nerves and enhance skin healing ability. Carita's vitality lotion contains abundant apricot essential oil.
Pineapple: Super cleaning formula. Pineapple flesh has detoxifying and whitening effects due to an enzyme that removes aged skin cells. In Sri Lanka, women traditionally use pineapple slices to cleanse their faces. Try Kiehl’s Pineapple-Papaya Exfoliating Scrub.
Lemon: Suitable for multiple uses. In cosmetics, lemon is fully utilized—its pulp, juice, and even peel are all used. Lemon is rich in vitamin C and citric acid; its essential oil has antibacterial properties, softens and cleanses skin, deeply purifies, and enhances facial elasticity. Its refreshing aroma frequently appears in summer toners and invigorating waters. The Chancl Precision series toner is made from extracts of lemon and grapefruit. Lancôme’s Revitalizing Fragrance series contains bergamot (a small lemon from tropical regions), citric acid, and pure vitamin E.
Orange: Increases skin elasticity. Due to its pleasant fragrance, orange is widely used in cosmetic products. It also enhances skin elasticity and soothes skin. Biotherm’s AquaRelax series contains 37% orange essential oil. Estée Lauder’s BodyZen also features a refreshing citrus scent.
Mango: Rich in moisturizing moisture. Oil extracted from mango kernels contains abundant moisture and softens keratin. Origins’ anti-aging products are derived from mango enzymes.
