Winter Melon Seed 500g, White Wine 1000ml. Place winter melon seeds in a double-layered gauze bag, tie tightly, immerse in boiling water for 5–10 minutes, then dry in sun. Repeat this soaking and drying process three times. Then soak the treated seeds in white wine for two days, remove, dry again, grind into fine powder, and store in a bottle. Take 6g each time, dissolve in hot water, once daily.
Winter melon seed, also known as winter melon kernel, is the seed of the winter melon, rich in fatty oils. It has a sweet taste and moist texture, highly moisturizing, long praised as a beauty food throughout history. “Makes complexion rosy and radiant, strengthens vital energy, prevents hunger, and long-term use leads to lightness and resistance to aging” (Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing). Also “removes skin roughness, dark spots, and nourishes the skin” (Ri Hua Zi Ben Cao). According to Ji Yan Liang Fang: “Long-term use makes one plump and smooth like jade, extends life and prevents aging.”
