Ear Beauty Exercises

In traditional Chinese medicine, the ear is considered the "orifice of the kidney" and a convergence point of vital energy channels. The Qing Dynasty text *Za Bing Yuan Liu Xi Zhu* states: "The lung governs qi, and the entire body’s qi passes through the ears." Folk wisdom says: "To stay healthy throughout the body, regularly massage your ears and listen attentively" (e.g., to music), which holds scientific merit.
Physiological studies indicate a functional internal connection between the ear shell and various parts of the body.
When illness occurs, corresponding reaction points often appear on the ear shell. Thus, massaging specific acupoints on the ear can prevent and treat certain diseases, offering both health and beauty benefits.
First Exercise:
1. Use the fingertips of both index fingers to massage the two ear concha clockwise 16 times, then similarly massage the two ear cavities and both triangular fossae 16 times each.
2. Use the fingertips of both index fingers to massage from the two triangular fossae counterclockwise 16 times, then similarly massage the two ear cavities and both ear cavities 16 times each.
This exercise warms and strengthens qi and blood, nourishes organs and tissues, and promotes general health.
Second Exercise:
Place the radial side of the index finger and the fingertip of the thumb on the upper front and back sides of the ear helix, respectively, and rub and knead from top to bottom 8 times, then from bottom to top 8 times.
This exercise helps prevent frostbite on the ear shell and enhances hearing.
Third Exercise:
Use the middle and index fingers of both hands to rub the front and back sides of both ear roots up and down 16 times.
This exercise improves hearing, reduces facial wrinkles, and enhances beauty.
Fourth Exercise:
Close both eyes tightly. Press the fingertip pads of both index fingers against both ear screens, hold firmly for 5 minutes, then suddenly release. Repeat 3 times.
This exercise enhances hearing and helps prevent tinnitus.
Fifth Exercise:
Press both palms tightly over both ears. Place both middle fingers on the occipital region, place both index fingers on top of the middle fingers, then slide both index fingers down rhythmically and tap the occipital area 16 times. Then keep the fingers on the occiput steady and rapidly alternately press and release both ears 16 times.
This exercise nourishes the brain, clears mental fatigue, enhances memory and hearing, and helps prevent tinnitus and deafness.
Sixth Exercise:
Close the mouth tightly. Insert both index fingers into both external auditory meatuses, gently rotate them 3 times while keeping the external auditory canals closed. After 3–5 seconds, suddenly release both fingers. Repeat 3 times.
This exercise helps prevent tinnitus and deafness and improves hearing.
Seventh Exercise:
Gently place both palms over both ears and slowly rub the ear shells clockwise and counterclockwise 16 times each.
This exercise aids hearing protection and stimulates facial blood circulation.
Eighth Exercise:
Use the radial sides of both index fingers and the fingertip pads of both thumbs to pinch the middle, upper, and lower parts of both ear helices, then lift upward, outward, and downward 16 times each.
This exercise promotes health, reduces wrinkles, preserves youthful appearance, and has a calming effect on children who are startled. <Beauty>
