Compound Formaldehyde Wash
Compound formaldehyde wash is prepared by mixing 36% formaldehyde solution with distilled water to a desired concentration. Meanwhile, mix essential oils with 140 ml of ethanol and 200 ml of glycerin uniformly, then add this mixture to the formaldehyde and distilled water blend. Dilute with water to a total volume of 1000 ml, shake well. Apply to affected areas twice daily. Store at room temperature in a sealed container.
Effects: Effectively reduces sweat secretion, relieves itching, inhibits bacteria, and has astringent properties. Formaldehyde readily precipitates proteins, thus possessing strong antibacterial activity.
Precautions: Formaldehyde vapor strongly irritates eyes, nose, throat, and trachea. Preparation must be done in a well-ventilated area, and avoid contact with concentrated solutions on skin. Formaldehyde oxidizes into formic acid when exposed to air for long periods; therefore, it should be stored tightly sealed at room temperature.<Odor Removal>
