Lycium Bark Porridge
[Ingredients] 30g Lycium bark, 15g Mulberry white bark, 10g Ophiopogon, appropriate amount of flour.
[Preparation] Place Lycium bark, Mulberry white bark, and Ophiopogon in a clay pot, soak for 20 minutes, decoct for 20 minutes, strain and collect juice. Mix flour into a paste and cook with the juice into thin porridge.
[Usage] Drink freely or serve with meals.
[Effects] Clears lung heat, cools blood, generates fluids, quenches thirst. Suitable for diabetes, excessive thirst, and emaciation.
[Comment] Lycium bark clears deficient heat and cools blood; pharmacological studies show it has antipyretic, hypoglycemic, and antihypertensive effects. Mulberry white bark clears heat, relieves asthma, promotes diuresis, and reduces swelling. Ophiopogon nourishes yin; combined, their effects are enhanced.
