Glutinous Rice Porridge
[Ingredients] 150 grams glutinous rice, 50 grams black soybeans, 100 grams peanuts, 20 grams black sesame seeds, 15 grams fresh rehmannia root, 20 grams scrophularia root, 20 grams hedyotis herb, 20 grams ligustrum fruit, 15 grams morinda root bark, 30 grams ophiopogon tuber,适量 rock sugar.
[Preparation] Boil fresh rehmannia root, scrophularia root, hedyotis herb, ligustrum fruit, morinda root bark, and ophiopogon tuber in water, filter out the residue and collect the juice; add appropriate amount of water, then put in glutinous rice, black soybeans, black sesame seeds, and peanuts. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat until beans are soft and rice is fully cooked into porridge. Add rock sugar and stir evenly.
[Usage] Consume as a meal accompaniment.

[Comment] This formula combines pungent, sweet, and cool foods with nourishing yin herbs, emphasizing yang recovery within yin. Morinda root bark assists yang. Suitable for individuals with thin physique, dull complexion, tinnitus, dizziness, dry mouth and throat, five-palm heat, hot flushes, night sweats, red tongue with little coating.
