Trichosanthes Flower Tea
[Ingredients] 30 grams of Chuzhou chrysanthemum, 30 grams of Trichosanthes root, 6 grams of raw licorice.
[Preparation] Place all ingredients in a pot, add adequate water, soak for 2 hours, boil, then simmer gently for 15 minutes, strain and collect juice.
[Usage] Take 3 times daily, drink as tea substitute.
[Efficacy] Nourish yin and clear heat.
[Indication] Early-stage treatment of AIDS.
[Note] Trichosanthes root nourishes yin and generates body fluids; chrysanthemum and licorice clear heat and detoxify. Combined, they achieve effects of clearing heat, nourishing yin, and generating fluids. Modern studies show that trichosanthes protein injection has anti-HIV activity. It has been used clinically abroad with certain efficacy against AIDS. Chrysanthemum and licorice saponins also exhibit anti-HIV properties.
