Deer Antler Gelatin Porridge
[Ingredients] Deer antler gelatin 20 grams, goji berries 30 grams, glutinous rice 100 grams.
[Preparation] First cook glutinous rice and goji berries into porridge, then add deer antler gelatin and let it dissolve, cook for two or three boils.
[Usage] Consume porridge on an empty stomach in the morning, optionally add sugar for taste. One course lasts half a month.
[Efficacy] Tonify liver and kidneys, enrich essence and blood; mainly used for prevention and treatment of cerebral arteriosclerosis.
[Note] Deer antler gelatin is a gel block made from boiled deer antlers, possessing functions of nourishing blood and enriching essence. As described in "Bencao Huiyan," it is "a superior medicine for strengthening yang, enriching blood, and generating essence." Modern medicine considers it beneficial for "brain nourishment and heart strengthening." Goji berries nourish kidney and liver, enrich essence; according to "Shiliao Bencao," they "strengthen tendons and bones, resist aging, benefit the body, and relieve fatigue." Modern research confirms goji berries have anti-aging, anti-arteriosclerosis, and lipid-lowering effects. Adding glutinous rice provides additional benefits of tonifying spleen and stomach, protecting gastric qi.
