Lotus Leaf Rice: Fragrant and Appetizing
Lotus Leaf Rice
Based on 500 grams of rice, use 150 grams of lean pork, 100 grams of shrimp, 50 grams of dried mushrooms, and one lotus leaf. First, soak the dried mushrooms in cold water until soft, then slice with lean pork and shrimp. Mix with one tablespoon each of soy sauce, egg white, and cooking wine, plus a little pepper powder.
Pour cleaned rice onto a lotus leaf washed with boiling water, place in a plastic bowl, add appropriate water, seal the lotus leaf, cover the bowl, and microwave on high for 15 minutes. Preheat a microwave-safe plate for 3 minutes, add two tablespoons of oil, heat to boiling, then add mushroom bits and pork bits, fry on high for 2 minutes, followed by shrimp for 1 minute. Mix the fried ingredients into the rice, cover again, and microwave on high for another 3 minutes.
(This process can also be done on a gas stove.) Lotus leaf rice is fragrant, delicious, and highly appetizing.
