Eating Chili Has Its Benefits This Substance Prevents Aging
According to a Xinhua News Agency report from Mexican media, scientists have discovered that chili peppers are rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, and protein, and regular consumption can delay human aging.
Marta Peña, a nutritionist at the Mexican Social Security Institute, said research shows that chili peppers have an anti-coagulation effect, improving blood circulation and preventing heart disease. Additionally, chili peppers can enhance digestive function, lower cholesterol levels, and treat influenza.
In some countries, people eat chili peppers to prevent parasitic infections. For example, pre-colonial Americans used chili peppers to kill intestinal worms, roundworms, and amoebas because the heat and spiciness produced in the body are detrimental to parasites.
However, Peña cautioned that excessive consumption of chili peppers may lead to gastritis and harm the body.
