Sugar Ginger Tea for Wind-Cold Cough
Cough may result from wind-cold invasion. The main feature is no pain in upper respiratory tract but itchy throat triggering cough. Try drinking sugar ginger tea. Preparation is simple: use old green onions (with skin and roots) and ginger (with skin), in a 1:1 ratio. Place in a small clay pot, add one bowl of cold water, boil for 3–5 minutes, then add sugar according to condition. Use brown sugar for wind-cold type; white or rock sugar for wind-heat type. Cool before drinking. Sugar ginger tea is suitable for all ages and highly effective for treating wind-cold cough.
Letuce Leaves for Skin Itching
Use 1–2 liang (about 50–100g) of letuce leaves. Wash thoroughly, boil in a pot for about 3 minutes after boiling, then stop heating. Let the decoction cool to a suitable temperature and use to wipe affected areas. Apply once or twice daily; symptoms will disappear quickly.
