Beef Rice
According to *Bencao Shiyi*, beef rice "eliminates edema... strengthens tendons and bones."
Recipe – Ginger Juice Beef Rice: 90 grams of fresh beef, minced into paste; mix with ginger juice, vegetable oil, and a small amount of soy sauce. When the rice is nearly done and moisture is drying, add the beef mixture. Serve after the rice is cooked.
Red Bean Stewed Carp
Red bean stewed carp is a well-known folk remedy for eliminating swelling. Red beans have the function of "treating edema... strengthening the spleen," and carp also "eliminates edema."
Recipe – Red Bean Stewed Carp: 90 grams of red beans, 1 carp (gutted), mixed with equal parts water and rice vinegar, add a little oil to the clay pot, simmer for 1 hour. Drink the soup and eat the residue.
