Four Porridges for Softening Blood Vessels

🔑 Keywords: Pharmacological Diet
Cornstarch Porridge
Cornstarch and glutinous rice, each 50g. First, mix cornstarch with a moderate amount of water until smooth. Add it to the glutinous rice porridge just before it finishes cooking, then continue cooking until thickened. Consume 1–2 times daily. It helps strengthen the lungs, calm the heart, regulate digestion, and is suitable for patients with arteriosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, and myocardial infarction. Long-term consumption aids in softening blood vessels.
Garlic Porridge
30–50g of purple-skinned garlic, 100g of glutinous rice. Boil the garlic skins in boiling water for about 1 minute, then discard them. Add the glutinous rice to the same water and cook into a thin porridge. Then add the garlic and cook together into porridge. Consume 1–2 times daily. It helps soften blood vessels, lower blood pressure, and reduce lipid levels.
Polygonum Multiflorum Porridge
30–50g of Polygonum multiflorum, 50g of glutinous rice, 5 jujubes. First, place Polygonum multiflorum in a clay pot, add adequate water, and simmer to extract concentrated juice. Remove the residue, then combine the juice with glutinous rice and jujubes to cook into porridge. Add a suitable amount of rock sugar for flavoring. Consume once daily. This porridge helps lower blood pressure.
Sweet Soy Milk Porridge
500g of fresh soy milk, 50g of glutinous rice. Wash the glutinous rice thoroughly, then cook with soy milk until porridge forms. Add a suitable amount of rock sugar. Consume 1–2 times daily. Sweet soy milk porridge strengthens the spleen, replenishes deficiencies, and is suitable for elderly or physically weak individuals. It also offers good preventive and therapeutic effects for arteriosclerosis, hypertension, and coronary heart disease.
