Several Winter Teas to Recommend
(1) Digestive-aiding Tea:
1) Shenqu Tea: 1 piece of Shenqu, 5 grams of green tea, steeped in boiling water and consumed.
2) Hawthorn and Barley Tea: 10 grams of hawthorn, 6 grams of barley, 6 grams of green tea, steeped in boiling water and consumed. Can be drunk once or twice within a week.
(2) Cold-dispelling Tea:
1) Ginger, Jujube, and Tangerine Peel Tea: 5 slices of ginger, 10 jujubes, 5 grams of tangerine peel, 5 grams of green tea, boiled in hot water. Drink when feeling chilled, or upon returning home from outside.
2) Cinnamon Twig, Apricot Kernel, and Tangerine Peel Tea: 4 grams of cinnamon twig, 5 grams of apricot kernel, 5 grams of tangerine peel, 3 slices of ginger, 10 jujubes, 5 grams of green tea. Boiled in hot water. Drink when chilled, experiencing nasal congestion or cough.
3) Perilla Tea: 5 grams of perilla, 4 grams of white芷, 5 grams of green tea. Steeped in boiling water. Can be consumed once or twice within a week.
(3) Heat-clearing Tea:
1) Isatis Root and Balloon Flower Tea: 6 grams of isatis root, 6 grams of balloon flower, 5 grams of green tea. Steeped in boiling water and consumed, used for throat inflammation.
2) Astragalus, Reed Rhizome, and Burdock Seed Tea: 5 grams of astragalus, 6 grams of reed rhizome, 5 grams of burdock seed, 5 grams of green tea. Soaked in boiling water and consumed. Can be taken once within a week.
3) Chrysanthemum and Olive Tea: 6 grams of chrysanthemum, 2 olives, 6 grams of tea. Soaked in boiling water and consumed. Can be taken once or twice within a week.
