🌿 Folk Prescriptions

Blood disorders usually present with deficiency of qi and blood. Treatment should prioritize tonifying qi because: first, formed blood cannot be rapidly generated, but formless qi must be urgently protected; second, tonifying qi helps generate blood and promotes blood circulation. Below are several clinical-tested formulas for reference.
1. Formula for Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura: Astragalus 30g, Ginseng 15g, Colla Corii Asini 9g. Decoct ginseng and astragalus first to extract juice, then dissolve colla corii asini in the decoction. Divide into three doses daily. For severe cases, up to two doses per day.
2. Formula for Leukopenia: Astragalus 60g, Jujube 30g. Decoct both herbs, divide into three doses daily. Effects visible after two weeks of continuous use.
3. Formula for Hemorrhagic Anemia: Astragalus 45g, Atractylodes 15g, Angelica 15g, Salvia 15g, Fried Glycyrrhiza 6g. Decoct, divide into three doses daily. Recommended for 3–4 weeks.
4. Formula for Megaloblastic Anemia: Astragalus 30g, Polygonum multiflorum 15g, Rehmannia glutinosa 15g, Ligusticum 12g, White Peony 12g, Angelica 12g, Leonurus 12g, Jujube 4 pieces, Fried Glycyrrhiza 6g. Decoct, divide into three doses daily. Continue for one month. If not cured, extend treatment by half to one month.
5. Formula for Aplastic Anemia: Astragalus 30g, Rehmannia glutinosa 18g, Polygonum multiflorum 15g, Codonopsis pilosula 15g, Colla Corii Asini 12g, Atractylodes 12g, Poria 12g, Glycyrrhiza 6g. Decoct, extract juice, dissolve colla corii asini in it, divide into three doses daily. Each dose accompanied by 6g of Purple River Car Powder. Long-term use yields results.
6. Formula for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia: Astragalus 30g, Angelica 12g, Tortoise Shell Gelatin 12g, Deer Horn Gelatin 12g, Rhizoma Sparganii 9g, Curcuma 9g, Sophora flavescens 6g, Purple River Car Powder 6g. Decoct, dissolve two gelatins, divide into three doses daily, and administer 2g Purple River Car Powder with each dose. Continuous use for 1–2 weeks.
