Six Taboos for Patients Eating Fruits
Six Taboos for Patients Eating Fruits
(1) Those with hepatitis can eat more citrus fruits and red dates, which are rich in vitamin C, but should avoid overly acidic fruits.
(2) Diabetic patients should eat fewer fruits high in sugar, such as pears, apples, and bananas.
(3) People with chronic constipation can eat more peaches, bananas, and oranges, as these fruits have mild laxative effects.
(4) Those prone to diarrhea should avoid fruits with laxative properties and may eat apples moderately, as apples have astringent qualities.
(5) People with low gastric acid should avoid fruits high in organic acids, such as plums, hawthorns, and lemons.
(6) Patients with heart disease or edema should avoid water-rich fruits like watermelon and coconut juice, as they may increase cardiac load and worsen edema.
