Eat more onions and garlic to stimulate the brain
Onions and garlic have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. Recent studies have also found that regular consumption of onions and garlic can lower blood lipids, blood glucose, and blood pressure, and even enhance brain function. The brain's activity relies on energy provided by glucose, but the conversion of glucose into usable energy requires vitamin B1. In other words, without the action of vitamin B1, glucose cannot be converted into energy for the brain. Conversely, if only glucose is present without sufficient vitamin B1, acidic metabolic byproducts will accumulate in the brain, impairing normal brain function. Researchers discovered that when garlic is combined with a small amount of vitamin B1, a substance called "allicinamine" is produced. Allicinamine enhances the effect of vitamin B1 and is even stronger than vitamin B1 itself. Onions contain a substance that, when consumed regularly, helps dilate small blood vessels and promotes blood circulation, thus aiding in preventing dizziness caused by high blood pressure.
