Traditional Chinese Medicine for Diabetic Urinary Tract Infection
The Shanxi Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine has achieved new progress in treating diabetic urinary tract infections. Based on years of rich experience in diabetes treatment, the department of endocrinology developed “Tanglinqing Capsules” derived from classical TCM formulas, which recently passed expert evaluation.
Diabetic patients often suffer from weakened immunity and are prone to infection, especially with a high incidence of urinary tract infections reaching up to 35% among diabetics. Once urinary tract infection occurs, it may worsen diabetes and eventually lead to renal dysfunction. Currently, antibiotics are commonly used clinically, but their use often affects blood glucose control. Stopping medication leads to frequent recurrence, prolonged use causes drug resistance, and may trigger allergic reactions, affecting liver and kidney function. To address this challenge, the department initiated research and successfully developed this purely herbal formulation after several years of effort. Animal experiments show significant antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and detoxifying effects. Clinical observations confirm its efficacy in clearing heat and toxins, drying dampness, and promoting urination, demonstrating notable effectiveness for diabetic urinary tract infections.<Diabetes>
