Dietary Therapy for Postpartum Syncope

Dietary Therapy for Postpartum Syncope
Postpartum syncope refers to symptoms such as dizziness, blurred vision, inability to sit up, chest tightness, nausea, vomiting, and even unconsciousness occurring after childbirth. Traditional Chinese medicine holds that the causes of syncope are either excessive blood loss during delivery leading to deficiency of heart and spirit and qi deficiency with blood depletion, or blood stasis obstructing qi flow, disturbing the mind and causing syncope. Treatment may include decoctions like Dangshen Tang, Dingkun Wan, or Duomeng San. Additionally, dietary therapy can be tailored according to different syndromes.
