TCM Prescription (I)
【Formula Name】Urethritis Formula One.
【Composition】Mu Tong 9g, Plantain Seed (wrapped) 9g, Polygonum Aviculare 9g, Rhubarb 9g, Hoelen (wrapped) 15g, Glycyrrhiza Radix (tip) 9g, Dianthus 9g, Gardenia 9g, Bupleurum 30g, Schisandra Fruit 9g, Phellodendron Bark 15g.
【Usage】Decoct in water, cool slightly, take in divided doses.
【Treatment Principle】Promotes diuresis and unblocks urination.
【Indication】Urethritis, painful dysuria; symptoms include pain during urination, chills and fever, yellow-red frequent urination, red tongue with yellow coating, rapid pulse.
【Additions】For severe pain, add 3g of Amber Powder (to be swallowed separately).

【Composition】Winter Melon Seed 10g, Polygonum Aviculare 6g, Dianthus 10g, Mu Tong 6g, Stone Fern 6g, Plantain Seed 10g, Smilax Glabra 10g, Scutellaria Baicalensis 6g, Peach Kernel 5g, Raw Rehmannia 12g, Hoelen 10g, Gardenia 5g.
【Usage】Decoct in water, cool slightly, take in divided doses.
【Treatment Principle】Clears heat, promotes diuresis, unblocks urination.
【Indication】Urethritis; symptoms include reduced urine volume, difficulty passing urine, urinary pain and urgency, burning sensation in urethra, or presence of sand-like particles.
