Eggs Are Ideal for Computer Users

With the widespread use of office automation and computers, people spend increasingly long hours in front of screens. Memory decline is now nearly universal. However, early dietary adjustments can improve memory, enhance responsiveness, and prevent cognitive deterioration.
1. Consume more choline-rich foods. The brain contains abundant acetylcholine. People with memory decline have significantly reduced acetylcholine levels, especially the elderly. Supplementing acetylcholine is an effective way to improve memory. Fish, lean meat, and eggs (especially yolks) are rich in choline.
2. Supplement phosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidylcholine enhances brain activity, delays brain cell aging, and offers liver protection, lowers lipid levels, and prevents stroke. Egg yolks and soy products are rich in phosphatidylcholine—consume moderately.
3. Eat more alkaline foods and those rich in vitamins. Alkaline foods support brain function. Examples include tofu, peas, rape, celery, lotus root, milk, cabbage, napa cabbage, radishes, potatoes, and grapes. Fresh vegetables and fruits like green peppers, golden needle mushrooms, shepherd’s purse, strawberries, kumquats, and kiwis are rich in vitamins.
4. Increase intake of magnesium-rich foods. Magnesium enables ribonucleic acid to enter the brain—the key substance for memory maintenance. Beans, buckwheat, nuts, and malt are good sources.
5. Moderate consumption of tonifying foods like ginseng, wolfberry, walnuts, longan, and eel.
6. Consume foods rich in egg yolk phosphatidylcholine, ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and other vitamins and minerals. Phosphatidylcholine is a vital brain nutrient, improving memory and thinking ability. Egg yolk phosphatidylcholine has much higher bioavailability than other sources. ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids delay brain aging, improve memory, lower triglycerides and cholesterol, improve vascular elasticity, and help prevent hypertension, atherosclerosis, and coronary heart disease. Vitamin E is a well-known antioxidant that delays aging.
