Daily Vitamin C Intake Lowers High Blood Pressure
Studies show that daily supplementation with vitamin C can significantly reduce high blood pressure. The recommended daily dose is 500 mg. This research was jointly conducted by scientists from Boston University School of Medicine and Oregon State University, supported by the National Institute of Health. Hypertension is a global disease that can lead to serious complications such as heart disease and stroke. Scientists consider this finding highly significant, especially for individuals with elevated blood pressure, who can work with doctors to bring their blood pressure into an acceptable range without the side effects commonly associated with conventional medications. Do not underestimate the power of vitamin C, which costs little each day yet works as effectively as some prescription antihypertensive drugs. In the trial, participants taking 500 mg of vitamin C daily saw a 9% reduction in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure after one month. On average, systolic pressure dropped from 155 to 142 mmHg, and diastolic pressure fell from 87 to 79 mmHg. (Source: MaiBo Health Information)
