Based on acupuncture meridian theory, sustained massage of specific points can relieve muscle fatigue, prevent myopia, and improve vision. The steps are as follows:
Massaging Jingming Point (Inner Canthus): Use thumb and index finger of one hand to press Jingming point, gently rub toward the nasal bridge seven times (49 repetitions).
Massaging Zanzhu Point (Brow Tip): Use the same technique to gently rub 49 times.
Massaging Yuyao Point (Center of Eyebrow): Press Yuyao point with index finger, place middle finger on top of index finger, and gently rub in a counterclockwise direction 49 times.
Massaging Taiyang Point: Use the same method as above, gently rubbing 49 times.
Massaging Chengqi Point (Below Eye Socket, Directly Below Pupil): Same as (3), gently rub 49 times.
After completing the massage, vigorously rub both hands together until warm, then cover the eyes for about 30 seconds.
When performing these exercises, pay attention to the following:
Keep nails short and wash hands thoroughly.
Ensure accurate point location and gentle, slow technique—aim for a sensation of mild soreness.
If eyes or face are inflamed, pause the massage.
Additionally, dietary considerations include:
Consume foods rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and D:
Such as animal liver, lean meat, egg yolks, fish liver oil, spinach, mustard greens, pumpkin, carrots, apples, oranges, starfruit, grapes, persimmons, apricots, etc.
Consume foods rich in calcium, phosphorus, chromium, copper, and zinc:
Such as milk, eggs, fish liver oil, beef, lamb, pork, fish, shrimp, oysters, seaweed, purple laver, jellyfish, and leafy vegetables.
Avoid excessive sugar: Overconsumption reduces calcium and chromium levels and depletes large amounts of Vitamin B1, leading to impaired vision—thus, sugar should be limited.
Avoid spicy and stimulating foods and drinks: Such as tobacco, pepper, chili, strong tea, coffee, alcohol—these can damage visual function and should be avoided.
