Yuanjing Wine
[Composition] Yuanjing, Badou (seed removed, stir-fried), Banmao (wings and feet removed, stir-fried) each 30 pieces; Fuzi (skin removed), Zhi Zhu, Xixin, Wutou (skin removed), Gānjiāng, Guìxīn, Shǔjiāo (eyes and closed mouths removed, sweat-treated), Tianxiong (skin removed), Huángqín each one ounce
[Function & Indications] Treat all diseases caused by wind pathogen, wild wandering, lower abdominal swelling, accumulation, cholera, sudden illness, flying corpse, escaping symptoms, acute abdominal distension, cold injury, wind-damp-cold invasion, headache, body heaviness, chills and fever, wind deficiency, and head wind.
[Dosage & Administration] Twice daily, half *he* per dose; if dizziness or restlessness occurs, drink one sheng of water to counteract the wine.
[Preparation Method] Cut the eight ingredients, soak in one dou of wine for ten days.

Qianjin Lugu Wine — Formerly known as "Lugu Wine"
[Composition] Xixin half *liang*, Yinwang, Wutou (skin removed), Zhi Zhu each five fen; Mu Fangyi, Tianxiong (skin removed), Shihu each one *liang*; Boziren, Niuxi, Shanzhuyu, Tongcao, Qinjiao, Guixin, Ganjiang, Gan Di Huang, Huangqi (used instead of Huangqin), Yinchén, Fuzi (skin removed), Qumi, Wangsun (used instead of Wangboliuxing), Dudong (roasted), ZeXie, Shinan, Fangfeng, Yuanchi (heart removed) each three fen
[Function & Indications] Treat all diseases due to wind, dizziness, mental confusion, deafness, blurred vision, lacrimation, loss of smell, oral ulcers, toothache, lymphadenopathy, throat sores, irritability, heat exhaustion, chest and flank pain, shoulder and scapular pain, inability to raise arms, difficulty dressing, back and waist stiffness, foot numbness, difficulty standing long, eight winds and twelve bi syndromes, five slackness and six rigidity, hemiplegia, limb atrophy, muscle spasm, inability to flex or extend limbs, wind invading the throat causing obstruction, choking sensation, like being pricked by needle or knife, wandering pain without fixed location, if left untreated for long, may invade internal organs—some in heart region, some in vital energy area, spreading throughout limbs, with cold spots, as if blown by wind, long-standing cold accumulation, rheumatic arthralgia, five labors and seven injuries, general debility and myriad illnesses.
[Dosage & Administration] Start with one *he* per dose, gradually increase to four or five *he*, based on response.
[Preparation Method] Cut the twenty-five ingredients, soak in five dou of wine for ten days to complete.

Beidi Taishou Wine
[Composition] Wutou, Gancao, Chuanxiong, Huangqin, Guixin, Liulu, Fuzi each four *liang*; Bai Lian, Jiegeng, Banxia, Boziren, Qianhu, Maidong each six *liang*
[Function & Indications] Treat all diseases including pestilence, wind, cold, heat.
[Dosage & Administration] Take one *he* on empty stomach, three times daily, adjusted according to response.
[Preparation Method] Chop the herbs, place in a silk bag, sink to the bottom of a jar. Add seven *jin* of fermented grain, one *hu* of millet, prepare as normal wine. After fermentation, remove lees, recover herb residue, place in a green cloth bag, sink to the bottom of the wine, age for seven days in autumn, five days in summer, ten days in winter.
[Precautions] The herbs have slight toxicity; thus must be wrapped in green cloth, do not interrupt the process.
