崩漏酒 (Menorrhagia and Metrorrhagia)
Danshen Aiye Wine — Original name: "Danshen Wine"
[Drug Composition] 5 jin each of Salvia miltiorrhiza, Artemisia argyi, Rehmannia glutinosa, honeysuckle, and Sanguisorba officinalis
[Function and Indication] Treat sudden heavy bleeding and postpartum residual conditions.
[Usage and Dosage] Initially take four he, gradually increase dosage.
[Preparation Method] Crush the herbs finely, soak in water for three nights, strain out residue, boil the liquid, cook rice with one hu (approx. 10 liters) of millet, ferment into wine, then acidify the wine.

Xiongxi Wine
[Drug Composition] 8 taels of Ligusticum chuanxiong
[Function and Indication] Women's metrorrhagia, occurring up to ten or more times daily.

[Preparation Method] Cut the herb finely, boil with five sheng of wine until reduced to three sheng.

Comment: After menstruation, continuous dripping bleeding is called "jing lou." Sudden heavy bleeding is called "jing beng." The main causes include yin deficiency with blood heat, spleen-kidney qi deficiency, and qi stagnation with blood stasis. Chuanxiong is pungent and warm, promoting qi and activating blood; commonly considered suitable for metrorrhagia caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis.
Xiongxi Shengdi Wine — Original name: "Xiongxi Wine"
[Drug Composition] 1 tael of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 2 he of fresh Rehmannia glutinosa juice
[Function and Indication] Treat metrorrhagia with continuous bleeding day and night.
[Usage and Dosage] Divide into one or two doses; for those intolerant to alcohol, gradually increase dosage.
[Preparation Method] First boil Ligusticum chuanxiong with five sheng of wine until reduced to one sheng, remove residue, add fresh Rehmannia juice, then boil for two or three boils.
