🌿 Folk Prescriptions

[Formula] 120 grams of asarum, 250 milliliters of distilled spirit.
[Preparation] Place asarum in alcohol, simmer until five or six vigorous boils. Pour into a basin for later use.
[Function] Promoting eruption of measles.
[Indications] Measles appears but fades too quickly.
[Usage] External application. Cover the basin with bamboo mat or thin board. Family members strike the basin rhythmically to generate heat, then perform fumigation and washing (fumigate first, then wash). Maintain suitable room temperature during fumigation. Expose only the child’s head and face; wrap entire body tightly in blankets (including the basin), preventing steam escape. Continue for 10 minutes, then replace with fresh hot liquid. After fumigation, immediately wipe off sweat and moisture with a warm towel, and maintain warmth to avoid exposure to wind-cold.
[Note] Quoted from "Therapeutic Methods of Chinese Medicine Fumigation, Washing, and Rubbing." During treatment, periodically reposition the child to avoid fixed posture. The wine temperature should be moderate—not too hot—to prevent skin damage. When combined with modified Jingfang Detoxifying Decoction from "Medical Mirror of the Golden Chamber" for internal use, combined therapy yields even better results.
