Adjunctive formulas include Tong Mai Wan (salvia, red peony, poria, angelica, honeysuckle, moutan, large blue leaf, ligusticum, peach kernel, eucommia, winter melon seed) to enhance blood-activating and meridian-promoting, detoxifying effects. Others combine detoxifying and clearing damp-heat decoction (honeysuckle, scrophularia, angelica, red peony, eucommia, phellodendron, coptis, gardenia, forsythia, atractylodes, fangji, purple root, raw licorice, safflower, mu tong) for damp-heat descending type. Or use Qi-tonifying and blood-activating compound pills (astragalus, white flower salvia) or decoctions (astragalus, white flower salvia, honeysuckle) for qi-blood deficiency cases. Treats diabetic foot gangrene.<br>[Dosage & Administration] Spray the wine into a spray bottle, spray onto wound several times daily, or soak sterile gauze in medicine liquid and apply externally.<br>[Preparation Method] Soak above herbs in 60% ethanol (alcohol) 500ml for twenty days, filter.
