Ma Feng Yaojiu
Nux Vomica Wine — Original name "Nux Vomica Wine"
[Drug Composition] Achyranthes root, Schefflera, Aconite (peeled), Zanthoxylum (peeled), Morus leaf, each two liang; Cinnamon twig five fen
[Function and Indication] Treats eighty-three types of wind invasion affecting the head, facial swelling and itching, loss of eyebrows and hair, limb stiffness preventing walking, dreams of communication with spirits and gods, or mental restlessness and fear, spontaneous agitation throughout the meridians, progressive emaciation, as well as chronic epilepsy and long-standing wind-dampness disorders.
[Dosage and Administration] Take half a he in each dose; expect vomiting and diarrhea after taking. Strong individuals take three times daily, elderly and children once daily; adjust dosage gradually if needed.
[Preparation Method] Cut the six herbs finely, soak in one dou two sheng of wine. Soak for five days in spring and autumn, three days in summer, seven days in winter.
[Precautions] Avoid sexual activity and pork consumption.

Ai Hao Wine
[Drug Composition] Mugwort (chopped) one handful
[Function and Indication] Treats severe leprosy with skin and facial sores discharging foul fluid, and fish bones stuck in the throat.
[Dosage and Administration] Warmly take orally. Small amounts each time, maintain a mild intoxication state.
[Preparation Method] Boil the herb with water to extract concentrated juice, mix with yeast and rice, ferment into wine, then filter and collect clear liquor after fermentation. Alternatively, use equal parts water and wine, each one cup, boil down to eight-tenths.

Shanglu Wine
[Drug Composition] Shanglu root (peeled, chopped) twenty-five
[Function and Indication] Treats severe leprosy, loss of eyebrows and beard, muscle stiffness, joint weakness, numbness in limbs, as well as edema due to wind-water accumulation, abdominal masses, and alcohol-related stagnation.
[Dosage and Administration] Warmly take three to five he each time, twice during daytime, once at night.
[Preparation Method] Boil the herb with one dan five dou of water until reduced to eight dou, remove residue, soak fifteen jin of fine yeast, cook one shi of millet, follow standard brewing method; wine is ready when fermented.
[Precautions] Avoid large meat. Recommend eating deer meat soup.

Bohe Wine
[Drug Composition] Live Bungarus snake one piece
[Function and Indication] Treats malignant sores, various fistulas, stubborn wind-dampness, and epilepsy.
[Dosage and Administration] Take several cups each time; improvement occurs with body feeling warm and tingling.
[Preparation Method] Combine the herb with one dou of pure wine, seal and bury in horse urine pit, dig out after one year; the snake will have fully decomposed.

[Dosage and Administration] Take after meals, one he each time, three times daily; gradually increase to three he, stop when cured.
[Preparation Method] Crush the two herbs finely, soak with three dou of water and two jin of medicinal yeast, let stand for two nights, strain, boil two dou of millet, brew according to standard method, press and collect wine when mature.
