Two-Wu Bone-Penetrating Wine (Expelling Wind-Dampness)

[Formula] 20 grams each of Raw Zho Wu, Raw Cao Wu, Penetrating Grass, Stretching Grass, Qi Ai Leaf, Mountain Ginger, 10 grams each of Safflower, Peach Kernel, Camphor (or camphor), Fine Cinnamon, Cinnamon Twig, 40 grams of Frankincense, 2500 ml of 95% ethanol.
[Preparation] Coarsely grind the first 12 ingredients, mix evenly, place in a container, add 95% ethanol, seal tightly, shake regularly, macerate for 15–30 days. Filter off residue, store in bottles.
[Function] Expels wind-dampness, activates blood circulation, disperses stasis, reduces swelling, relieves pain.
[Indications] Delayed fracture healing, calcaneal spurs, sequelae of joint injuries, tenosynovitis, joint swelling and pain.
[Usage] External use. Take 20 ml of the preparation, add boiling water to make 2000 ml of solution. Use hot fumigation or warm compress with soaked cloth on affected area, twice daily (morning and evening). Alternatively, rub on the area several times daily.
