Mi Gao Wine (Hoarseness)
[Formula] 250 grams each of honey and rock sugar, 125 milliliters each of fresh ginger juice and raw Stemonae tuber juice, 75 grams each of jujube pulp paste and apricot paste, 60 grams of tangerine peel powder.
[Preparation] First, add apricot paste and raw Stemonae juice to 1000 milliliters of water, decoct down to 90 milliliters, filter out residue. Then add remaining five ingredients, simmer gently until reduced to 1000 grams.
[Function] Dispersing wind and cold, stopping cough, relieving asthma.
[Indication] Lung qi deficiency with cold, injury from wind-cold, hoarseness, coughing up phlegm, shortness of breath, and conditions involving cold invading heat.
[Usage] Oral. Take 2 tablespoons of honey paste, mix with warm wine (about 10–15 milliliters), consume three times daily.
